Theater Ninjas was founded to create accessible and entertaining live performance while attracting new and young audiences to the theater.

We perform original works and interpretations that draw on elements of film, dance, improvisation, physical theater, graphic novels and music.

We offer a chance for up-and-coming Cleveland artists to develop their craft while providing affordable experiences that entertain, provoke and excite multiple generations of Clevelanders.

Jeremy Paul - Artistic Director
Jeremy Paul is a Cleveland director, designer and performer. Over the past few years, Jeremy has worked in multiple capacities with The Cleveland Play House, Great Lakes Theater Festival, Cleveland Public Theatre, Beck Center for The Arts, Karamu House, Ingenuity Festival, Dobama’s Night Kitchen, Ensemble Theater, Cleveland Shakespeare Festival, Red Hen Productions and his own theater company, the Theater Ninjas. Recent directing credits include Woyzeck, Heddatron, Crave, The Leader, Prof. Taranne, Aphrodisiac and This Is Our Youth. With fellow Ninja Faye Hargate, Jeremy has co-created the original works Peripheral Visions and The Beetlebug and the Bad Worm. Jeremy is the founder and president of First Cut Studios Inc., and a graduate of Wesleyan University in Connecticut.

Faye Hargate - Collaborative Artist
Faye Hargate is the Education Associate at Cleveland Public Theatre.  With Theater Ninjas, she has collaborated on Heddatron, Crave, Blueprints, The Beetlebug and the Bad Worm, Peripheral Visions, Mad World and Aphrodisiac, and served as associate artistic director for two years. In addition to her work with Theater Ninjas, she has worked with Cleveland Public Theatre, Great Lakes Theater Festival’s Outreach Tour, Bang and Clatter, TITLEWave and Ingenuity Festival.  Faye is a graduate of the two-year professional theatre program at Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris, France. She holds a BA in Religious Studies and Theatre from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, ME and has trained with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA and with Cleveland’s Inlet Dance Theatre. 

Val Kozlenko - Collaborative Artist
Val Kozlenko is an undergraduate student at Cleveland State University. He has played roles with Theater Ninjas, Cleveland Public Theatre and several CSU productions including Machinal, The Laramie Project, Double Nickle Blues, and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Joan Hargate - Resident Artist
Joan Hargate has over 35 years of professional experience in the visual arts.  In addition to her work in theater, Joan is a professional painter.  She lives in Cleveland Heights with her loving husband, Arthur.
